Asif International (M) Sdn. Bhd. will be organizing the 3rd National Halal Conference 2010 on the 1 & 2 December 2010 at Matrade Exhibition and Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur. This conference will be held in conjunction with the 2nd Malaysian Halal Excellence Awards 2010.

The World Muslim population is approaching 1.6 billion people and expected to increase by 30 percent of the world’s population by 2025. The total spending on food would come up to $584 billion a year, if every Muslim spend just $1 a day on Halal food! Malaysia has been globally recognized as the world’s Halal food hub and the forerunner in this industry.

Know to all the success of Halal industry, in both domestic and export markets, depends on a broad range of policy developments including those related to law and regulations, support services and infrastructures, such as human resource development, finance, as well as marketing and promotional efforts and also trough providing service such as Halal management, logistics and finance. Thus, Malaysian Halal entrepreneur and Halal exporters must determine the “Halalness” of their product and services.

This conference is held to focus on the latest developments and future directions of Halal industries in all sectors.


The inaugural Malaysian Halal Excellence Awards 2009 which was introduced for the very first time to recognize and honour the achievements of the key Halal industry players in Malaysia was presented on the 9th of December 2009 at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, Petaling Jaya.

This awards ceremony took place during a Gala Dinner held in conjuction with the International Islamic Tourism and Halal Week (IISTHAL 2009). Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia officiated the ceremony and gave away the ten Malaysian Halal Excellence Awards 2009 to the award winners.
